AT HOME WITH... MARION ROUCHEUX
Our apartment
We were looking for something less high, because we used to live on the 6th floor in the Marais and we moved quickly when our daughter was born.
We arrived to the Indian neighborhood of Paris.
It’s really great to have more space and more calm with the rooms facing courtyard. I also like how the apartment is disposed with Garance’s space well separated from the living room where we often have guests and from our bedroom.
And I love the view from our windows – trees are everywhere. I discovered my neighbors this winter when the leaves fell down!
My style
I love the 1930s style and am very influenced by my man who is an architect.
He made me discover many things. MacKintosh, le Corbusier, functional architects. I would love to offer myself Bouroullec brothers or Pierre Paulin’s armchairs.
I like when design does not take itself too seriously and introduces a little bit of humor in everyday life.
What really makes a difference in the interior are armchairs and lightings. I dream of Serge Mouille’s or Dark’s lightings, Kristalia’s chairs or Arper’s sofa.
But most of things we have at home were bought in flea markets, being a young entrepreneur obliges!
My last firm favorite: the Cutipol brand and their original cutlery offered by my mom when we have moved in.
My place
Everything in one: my “living room – dining room – office”!
And also my bathroom where I can spend hours if my daughter didn’t recall me to order.
My favorite moment
When I come back home before picking Garance up around 6 and before work.
I spend some time in the living room and enjoy this moment with myself for a few moments.
What’s the most important thing in an inside
Fragrances. My candles come from Astier de Villatte.
