IN THE CLOSET OF... CHRISTOPHE VEROT FOUNDER OF ROBINSON LES BAINS
FASHION AND I
I’ve always been attracted by fashion: my mother used to wear tailor-made clothes, and I was already come with her to do it.
At the age of 16 I visited the Hermès museum and I swear to myself that one day I would work for them.
That’s what I did: I became product manager, than pr. I worked with Pierre Hardy and, like him, I wanted to create my « mono-product » brand. Robinson les bains was born from this willing.
MY STYLE
It depends on my agenda, my meetings.
One of my « classics » are jogging pants. They are comfortable and really correspond to my way of life and who I am.
I found the mat Acné and Bleu de Paname.
INSPIRATION
I don’t read fashion magazines. I found the inspiration in my family memory or in movies I watch: westerns, James Bond or fantastic ones.
MY ESSENTIALS
Trousers: Bleu de Paname, Ami Paris, Save Khaki
A pull over: Lanvin
A sweet-shirt: Acné
A tee-shirt: Robinson les bains, COS, J Crew
MY FAVORITE PIECES
I don’t throw away, I keep, and I accumulate. I cut, my shirts for example.
I used to buy a lot but not anymore. With exception for pull over and jeans found at Ami and Edwin.
MY SHOES
Margiela sneakers or New Balance
Sandals Suicoke
MY SHOPPING
I don’t really do some shopping in Paris, it’s too complicate. I do shopping while I am travelling or online on The Next Door or Ssense.
MY WISHLIST
An Acné shirt
A sweet-shirt with driver collar from Ami
MY DESIGNERS DISCOVERIES
I love Japanese designers: Suicoke (for the sandals) and Visvim.
A DARE
Hair bleach.
MY MANTRA
While working in this field I realised that you must avoid the total branded looks and get closer to who you really are. Fashion shows personality.
