IN THE CLOSET OF... ISABELLE OZIOL DE PIGNOL, ILLUSTRATOR
FASHION AND I
My taste for fashion have always been here. Yet nobody was particularly interested in that field in my family.
I used to give advices to my mother before losing her very young. At school I was already drawing about that. I made paper dolls that had beautiful wardrobe.
After high school I start my studies at Duperré school. The moment I had my degree I started to work at Chantal Thomass.
MY STYLE
« Classic - twisted »! I have always been regular. Expect during my studies. At that time I made my clothes myself and finally think that with such eccentric style I would never find a man! We dare more originality then them.
Nowadays my fantasy is more about trends, even if I try to resist to fast fashion in order not to buy too much.
I don’t wear a lot of motif and my colours are masculine: blue, black or green.
There are some style I prefer as: "dame" such as Claude Pompidou, masculine such as Diane Keaton or cerebral such as Marni.
To me style is about elegance, behaviour. It’s about the way you walk, you talk…
MY DAILY OUTLINE
Jeans, a polo-neck or a man shirt with sneakers or sandals.
MY EVENINGS OUTLINE
When I hang out I like to get dress. I put heel, hat and jewellery. I accessorize my outline for a more sophisticated style.
MY SIGNATURE
My glasses: I like them with charm, masculine and in scale.
IN MY BOOK I AM
In Be Hype I feel closed Abigail (p.110) her style looks like mine!
MY LINK WITH CLOTHES
At every season, I analyse trends, what’s going to add a plus to my wardrobe. I also see if something I already have suits to those trends. I hate waste so I don’t buy more than a single beautiful piece each year. When you have too much clothes you don’t appreciate them the same way. I keep everything!
MY SHOPPING
I rarely do shopping. I love to look and observe the clothes in shops, but I don’t buy often.
Near Menton I go to Nice, Monte Carlo or San Remo (you can find my addresses below). And in Paris it is Le Bon Marché.
MY FAVORITE DESIGNERS
Junya Watanabe, a men brand that I wear in Small size
Comptoir des Cotonniers, for jeans
Zara, for trendy pieces
MY LAST CRUSH
Atlantique Ascoli, the brand of Emmanuelle Khann daughter. She designs marvellous shirt and poplin dress.
ACCESSOIRIES
I love big jewellery: neckless, brooch or rings. I also wear hats and scarfs.
And I love bags: from the simplest tote bag to the designers ones.
MY INSPIRATION
WHAT DRESSES ME
What have been ironed! I don’t have rules.
