Kate, your pedigree pro?

A university in Oxford, then a law school in London. Then lawyer in business law and at the end the founder of Nettement Chic in 2012.

How did you come with the idea of Nettement Chic?

The idea came to me in a very simple way. I was buying a lot of things online and during my first years in France I have noticed that my habits weren’t the same as French women. I realize at this moment that I had to creat an e-shopping guide.

This second professional life – everyone dreams about it but only few of us decide to do it: how did you do it?

It was done within a year. But as far as I remember, I have always known that I was going to create my business. And as I am someone really optimistic, I decided to do it with no hesitation!

An English woman doing business in France: advantage or disadvantage?

Advantage because I have always an international business in mind.

Tell us your every day routine.

That doesn’t exist! I have many appointments outside or at the office with the team. I alternate business development days with those more operational. I write a lot and that’s good because it’s been my passion since always.

Your worst souvenirs?

Too many!

Your best moments?

A new client, a full page at Figaro Madame, but mostly the fact that Nettement Chic creates jobs!

The outfit that makes you confident during an important appointment?

Wearing heels: I need to look at people straight in the eyes.

Your golden rule in business?

Never to spend more money than we can receive and always go further and further.

Your advice for those who want to start a business?

To be conscious of the fact that it might take time but to do it still!
